Welcome Cowboys and Cowgirls!

SHSU Class of 2017
My Girls
  • Hello, Edna High School students and parents, I am Savannah Koehl.

I am the new third agriculture science teacher in the CTE program at Edna High School. I will be teaching Principles of Architecture and Construction, Architecture Design, and Livestock Production.

A tiny bit about myself, I grew up in Inez, Texas and graduated from Industrial High School in 2013.  (Yes, I am a former Cobra but I love the Edna Cowboys!) After high school I went straight to college at Sam Houston State University and studied Interdisciplinary Agriculture and Secondary Education. I graduated with my bachelors in Spring of 2017 and quickly began the hunt for a growing and passionate FFA program. Insert EDNA HIGH SCHOOL!

While I am going to be very dedicated to be an ag teacher, I will also be supporting and caring for my babies! I am a proud mother of two little girls, Benelli who is four years old and Lola who is one year old. Both of my girls are sweet, playful, and love their occasional dog bones. (Yes, I am that crazy dog mom!)

I am very excited about this journey God has put me on and can not wait to see what great things the Cowboys/Cowgirls, and I can do this year!
