The mission of Edna ISD is to ensure a quality education for all.

Edna ISD:  Offering small town values while preparing students for global expectations.

Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year at Edna ISD. We are even more determined and excited for all of us to work towards a continued rise in our campus and district academic performance. Edna Elementary has achieved honors under the current accountability system for a gold performance in math. The district’s performance has continued to improve under STAAR each year but we are not satisfied with our progress and will work hard to address areas of deficiency. It is our goal to make each campus and the overall district the best that we can be for all of our children. It will take our best efforts from all stakeholders- our students, staff and parents to meet these goals.

In addition to performance and physical changes going on this summer, we are looking forward to making 2014-2015 an exceptional year with our athletic, academic and extra-curricular endeavors. Edna has a strong reputation in volleyball, football, track and all of our other athletic teams and is strong academically in band, UIL academics, FFA, and Science Olympiad. Awesome performance should not be a surprise any more-it needs to be a tradition. It is a matter of pride to be a Cowboy or Cowgirl or a Rustler/Wrangler.

Even though we are constantly striving to be successful, our work is never done. We want to emphasize the whole child in terms of learning and development and will implement the Character Counts program and institute an anti-bullying campaign to strive to make our students better citizens as well as scholars. EISD will emphasize technology integration as well as soft skill development to prepare our students to be successful in the 21st Century. We want to take each of your commitments of these priorities to the next level emphasizing our “Ride for the Brand” theme for 2014 -2015.
