Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Andrew Wallace
Hello, my name is Andrew -
And I am a wizard.
The questions you and I ask tap an entire world of knowledge and understanding. To get the best answer to a question, don't look at one angle; look at many.
I grew up in a little town called Winchester, in Kansas. My original Bachelor's degree was in Philosophy from Sterling College, also in Kansas. After moving to the Eastern US for a few years, I met my wife Samantha online and we joined our lives together in Waco, TX. After moving to Austin and finishing my Master's degree in Information Sciences in the spring of 2016, I moved to Victoria with my wife to be closer to Edna, whereI function as the district librarian. I have a passion for learning and teaching, for solving problems, and for creating order from chaos.
So why be a wizard? Wizards tap into the connections of the world few others think of. Wizards bother to ask the strange questions that get surprising answers and can make the extraordinary happen. For a wizard, knowledge is what's used to tackle the tough problems, face the unknown, and make the impossible reality. It's a gift specifically designed to be passed on, to foster that same love of wisdom in students. I am a wizard. To pass on the collected knowledge and wisdom of humanity is my passion.
"Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom."
