JUST A NOTEIXL
- Homework is handed out every Monday and is due every Friday.
- Math facts should be reviewed daily.
IXL is a computer program designed to help students with many different skills. Students have been given their login information and can work on the program here at school or at home. We encourage them to work in IXL from home to help them improve their math skills. We ask that they only work on current or past skills taught in class. Students that try to work ahead may get confused and need help. We teach certain strategies that, as a parent, you may not be aware of. We also takes grades on IXL and it wouldn't be fair to everyone that does not have internet access or help at home. Click here to log in.
Basic Fact Practice
It is essential to your child's success that they become fluent with their basic addition and subtraction facts. We will start the week of September 10th having weekly fact fluency quick checks. Please work with your child at home whenever possible to help them succeed. Flash cards are an excellent resource and available almost anywhere for about $1.
Math homework will be sent home every Monday and due back to your child's teacher on or before Friday of the same week. Homework allows your child extra practice on current concepts and also allows you, the parent, to stay informed and knowledgeable about what your child is learning. Homework has begun being sent home. Not turning in Homework will result in a 50 for a daily grade and no recess.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your child's math teacher.
We are always willing to help in any way we can.
