What is Title IX?

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 states:

“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”

Edna ISD’s Title IX Administrators have completed training through Eichelbaum Wardell Hansen Powell & Muñoz P.C.’s 2023 Texas Title IX Administrator Conference. In accordance with Section 106.45(b)(10)(i)(D) of the Title IX regulations, materials from this training are available here.
