The Edna ISD Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting on Monday, August 17.
Campus principals shared updates on the first day of school, and the Board also received updates on fall athletics and district business.
There was a moment of silence after the pledges for the East Bernard School District & Community.
During the meeting, the Board approved several important items, including:
⭐ The 2026–2027 District Improvement Plan
⭐ Changes to the 2026–2027 Extra Duty Stipend Schedule
⭐ The 2026–2027 Edna ISD Budget
⭐ The 2026–2027 Tax Rate Resolution
⭐ Repairs to the Edna High School chiller and the associated budget amendment

To remain on the Edna ISD substitute list, all substitutes who worked during the 2025–2026 school year must attend our mandatory re-orientation/training session. This training is for returning substitutes from the 2025–2026 school year only. We are not currently accepting applications for new substitutes.

The Edna ISD Board of Trustees met on June 15 to celebrate student success, review district progress, and plan for the 2026-2027 school year. Highlights included:
✅ Recognition of State UIL Academic and Track Team members
🎓 Celebration of Edna Alternative School graduate Raul Almaguer

💙 Employee recognition for perfect attendance
💵 Consideration of donations and quarterly investment reports. A huge thank you to those who made donations to the students of Edna ISD. $500 to EHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes from Knights of Columbus & $940 to Edna Ag Mech from Edna Education Foundation.
👩🏫 Review and approval of proposed 2026-2027 salary schedules and stipends for teachers, counselors, nurses, paraprofessionals, maintenance staff, coaches, and support personnel
