At last night's Edna ISD's special called board meeting, Mason Briscoe IV was named Lone Finalist for the Edna ISD superintendent position. Mr. Briscoe is currently the high school principal at Hallettsville High School. Mr. Briscoe is married to his lovely bride, Sarah, and together they have two sons, Mason V and Ty. As state law stipulates, a district must wait 21 days before voting the Lone Finalist into the official position of superintendent. If all goes as scheduled, Mr. Briscoe will start to work in the district on Tuesday, May 26th. He will be in and out of the district during the 21-day Lone Finalist period. I am sorry for the delay in this information. We gave Mr. Briscoe the opportunity to tell his team and constituents the news before we shared it with the ISD and community.
